Baciwa, BHA conduct one-stop-shop in Vista Alegre

THE Bacolod City Water District (Baciwa) along with the Bacolod Housing Authority (BHA) held the “one-stop-shop” in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City to expedite water service connection applications of the residents of Abada Escay and Arao Relocation Sites Wednesday, February 26.

Vice Mayor El Cid Familiara said Baciwa general manager Juliana Carbon informed him that that their “one-stop-shop” along with the BHA and Barangay Vista Alegre started on February 26 until February 28.

“This is in response to Resolution No. 149, authored by Councilor Carlos Jose Lopez, passed by the City Council to expedite water service connection applications of the residents in said areas,” he said.

In her letter addressed to Familiaran, Carbon said that the schedule was set after a discussion was conducted together with Barangay Vista Alegre Captain Jose Maria Leandro Norberto de Leon and BHA head Ma. Victoria Parrenas.

She said several activities and arrangements were done by the water district since August 2019 anent the provision of water supply in the said area.

She added that they will inaugurate soon the Progreso Wells and the activation of the entire water system at Purok Progreso I and II.

Lopez earlier said the one-stop-shop will save time, money, and convenience for the resident’s water connection application. (MAP)
