A MOTHER and her son were arrested in a drug bust conducted by the police on February 26 in Barangay 1, Kabankalan City.
The suspects were identified as Virgie Jareno , 57, who was the subject of the buy-bust operation and her 21 year-old son Kendrick Jareno, both of Barangay 1, Kabankalan City.
The mother and son allegedly conspired in selling illegal drugs.
Recovered from the suspects’ possession were eleven sachets containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with a market value of P192,000, a sling bag and the P1,000 marked money.
Suspects and recovered items were brought to Kabankalan City Police Station for filing of appropriate charges and proper disposition.
The buy-bust operation was conducted by the joint elements of PDEU- NOCPPO led by Police Major Rogelio Pacificar, Jr. and Kabankalan City Police Station led by Police Lt. Col. Mary Rose Salve Pico with proper coordination to PDEA 6. (TDE)
