DEFENDING champion Luisita outscored Canlubang at the Bacolod Golf Club Friday, February 28 to draw level going into the final round of the 34th Philippine Airlines Senior Interclub golf team championships.

Benjie Sumulong and Rodel Mangulabnan, bouncing back from poor performances Thursday, each carded 51 points to lead the Luisita fightback.

Raffy Garcia added 47 as the Tarlac-based squad pooled 149 points for 426 overall.

Canlubang drew 145 points from Tommy Manotoc (49), Abe Rosal (48) and Rene Unson (48) to match Luisita’s total output.

“It’s good. We are excited to play tomorrow,” said Canlubang skipper Tony Olives.
