Sa Department Order 2020-003 ni Tugade nga “Directing the Land Transportation Office to conduct driver’s license examination in English, Tagalog, or other regional dialect at the option of the examinee,” gipirmahan sa kalihim niadtong Pebrero 14 ning tuiga.
Tipik sa direktiba gipasabot niini nga ubos sa Section 7, Article XIV sa 1987 Constitution ang opisyal nga pinulongan sa nasod, Filipino, apan kon gimando sa balaod, mamahimo ang pinulongang English, samtang auxiliary official dialect usab ang regional dialect.
“In the interest of justice and for the effective enforcement of land transportation laws, the DOTr recognizes the need to afford examinees the opportunity to fully comprehend the Driver’s License Examination,” tipik sa department order ni Tugade.
Matod ni Tugade nga adunay 30 ka adlaw nga motuman ang regional directors sa LTO offices sa nasod subay sa 15 ka adlaw nga pag-effect sa maong mando sukad kini namantala sa pamantalaan.
“LTO regional directors to provide a translation of Driver’s License Examination in their respective regional dialect within thirty (30) days from the effectivity of this order,” tipik sa mando.
“Mas dali sila makasabot,” si LTO 7 Regional Director Victor Caindec ngadto sa mga mokuha sa exam subay niining direktiba ni Tugade.
Ang LTO nag-estrikto na sa pagpakuha sa driver's license kay gikinahanglan na kining dunay certificate gikan accredited nga driving schools, apan naa gihapon ang written exam. / HBL
