USA ka sundawo ug giingong sakop sa mga rebeldeng New People’s Army (NPA) nangamatay sa engkwentro sa bukirang dapit sa lungsod sa Bilar, lalawigan sa Bohol, niadtong Sabado sa buntag, Pebrero 29, 2020.
Ang namatay nga sundawo giila nga si Private First Class Jerald Villanueva, sakop sa 47th Infantry Battalion sa Philippine Army, lumad nga taga lalawigan sa Sultan Kudarat, samtang sa habig sa NPA mao si Marcelo Maldos 55, taga Loon, Bohol.
Matod ni Lieutenant Emma Grace Remonde, civil military officer sa 47th IB, nagpahigayon sa ilang clearing patrol operation sa kabukiran sa lungsod ang usa ka platoon ang mga sundawo.
ENGKWENTRO
Pagka alas 9:40 sa buntag, pag-abot sa boundary sa mga Barangay Cantombol ug Cambigsi, gipabuthan sila sa di momenos 15 ka mga armadong kalalakin-an.

“Posible man, Sir, labi karon nga kanang naay continuous combat operations sa Negros ug sa uban pang kanang duol nga isla. So, motabok sila diri,” pasabot ni Remonde sa Superbalita Cebu.
INSURGENCY FREE
Niadtong 2016, gideklara nga insurgency free ang tibuok probinsya sa Bohol tungod kay wa nay naglihok nga mga rebelding NPA.

Si Police Brigadier General Albert Ignatius Ferro, hepe sa Police Regional Office (PRO) 7, nagduda nga human gideklarar nga insurgent-free ang tibuok lalawigan sa Bohol, gitinguha sa komunistang terorista nga bawion kini.
“Ever since then, government security forces were always on the lookout for the communist terrorist group (CTG), to make sure that Bohol remains peaceful and free from the enemy.
