ANOTHER earthquake shook some parts of the Visayas Tuesday, March 3.
The tremor, recorded as a magnitude 4.1 earthquake, struck at 2:51 p.m. seven kilometers northwest of Leyte town in Leyte.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said it was tectonic and had a depth of one kilometer.
The agency said no damage and aftershocks are expected, but the quake was felt in the following areas:
Intensity 4 -- Naval, Biliran
Intensity 2 -- Tanauan, Barugo, Palo, Jaro, Tolosa, Dagami, San Miguel, Dulag, Babatngon, Leyte; Tacloban City
Instrumental Intensity 4 -- Ormoc City; Naval, Biliran
Instrumental Intensity 3 -- Palo, Leyte; Borongan City
On Monday, March 2, a magnitude 5.5 earthquake also struck Leyte, Leyte.
Classes were suspended in Carigara and Capoocan towns in Leyte province following Monday's tremor. (LMY)
