TODDLERS are active and restless. They would engage in all physical activities that they find interesting. Although they are not as demanding as newborns and infants, moms need these following essentials to keep the little ones safe and clean.

1. Baby wash – It is wise to invest in a good baby wash which would keep them smelling good and moisturize their skin all day. A baby wash with Sunflower seed oil is also recommended because this is beneficial to their skin health. The ingredient serves as an effective emollient, keeping the skin moist.

2. Moisturizing baby lotion – It prevents their skin from being dry. A good mixture of Shea butter, sweet almond oil, sunflower seed oil, and Vitamin E help re-hydrate their skin, and feel and smell good.

3. Anti-mosquito lotion – Mosquitos scare moms the real way. To avoid mosquito-borne diseases like dengue, apply anti-mosquito lotion on your toddlers’ skin. Re-apply after 8 hours. Make sure that the anti-mosquito lotion is DEET-free. DEET is an industrial pesticide common in repellants. When used in large doses, it can cause rashes, insomnia, and seizures.

4. Calendula healing salve – Toddler’s skin is prone to scratches, insect bites, scrapes and small bumps. One of the essentials that are proven to heal fast but in a gentle way is the calendula healing salve. It has the calendula extract as main ingredient which is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory.

5. Hand sanitizer – Toddlers want to explore and touch everything that would trigger their curiosity. We should not also forget to clean their hands after playing and before eating. It is best to use an alcohol-free foaming hand sanitizer to keep their hands smooth, soft and clean. Pick a product that has a chamomile extract.

It’s not about being overprotective but moms know best when it comes to their child’s health and wellness.
