FIL-JAPANESE Go Hosaka takes on veteran Boyce Sultan in the eight-round main event of ALA on Tour - “Bakbakan sa Lutopan” on March 28, 2020 in DAS Lutopan, Toledo City.
“This is a big test for him,” ALA Gym head coach Edito Villamor told SunStar Cebu. The 23-year-old Hosaka, who traces his Filipino roots ito La Union, won his first four bouts against Holly Quiñones (3-9-1), Jason Tinampay (8-11-1), Romnick Magos (12-9-0) and Kim Lindog (5-7-1).
He is expected to win his fifth against Sultan, who is 10-13-1 with five KOs.
Another unbeaten prospect, Regie Suganob (4-0, 1 KO), is fighting in the co-main feature in an eight-rounder against Ernesto Alera (5-7-1).
In the undercard, Arvin John Sampaga (2-0) takes on debutant Dan Liwie Claridad, Clark Sanchez slugs it out with newbie Arman Jake Aragon, John May Acope (2-0) is up against newcomer Jun Mark Pelarion and former Palarong Pambansa gold medalist John Niño Vega makes his pro debut against fellow debutant Jomarie Lacio.
