TO MEET the demand for accommodations of global business and leisure travelers, Ayala Land’s homegrown hotel brand Seda has opened its second property in Cebu City.

The 214-room Seda Central Bloc will be an anchor destination of the Cebu Central Bloc, a self-contained Ayala Land community with retail, office and residential towers within the Cebu IT Park (CITP) business district.

“The hotel will cater to business process management (BPM) firms already located in the 24-hour business district as well as those expanding from Metro Manila and other cities to Cebu in the next five years,” said Seda’s senior group general manager Andrea Mastellone.

Seda Central Bloc Cebu’s serviced residences target to primarily cater to young professionals and managers in the BPM industry staying long-term while its hotel rooms are targeted towards a broader market of leisure and business travelers. The latter include guests who will be attending conventions within the CITP.

Hotel units of Seda Central Bloc Cebu have a size of 28 square meters, while its studio to three-bedroom units have room sizes from 30 square meters to 90 square meters.

Out of the 214 rooms, the 17-level hotel has about 58 serviced-residences on top of the three-story mall, AyalaMalls Central Bloc.

The hotel features an all-day dining outlet called Misto, a swimming pool, meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 100 persons, a gym and Straight Up roof deck bar.

Like all other Seda hotels, the Central Bloc property will offer “a high-energy location” within one of Cebu’s prime business districts “with everything they need within walking distance,” Mastellone said.

Thrina dela Calzada, director of sales of Seda Central Bloc, said the hotel brand’s 11th property embraces all that it embodies.

“This includes the quick, fluid and ease of movement ideal for today’s business and lifestyle traveler,” said dela Calzada, adding that the hotel is seamlessly connected to the mall that offers a variety of retail and dining options. (JOB)
