SIX teams from various parts of Negros Occidental will converge at the Murcia Softball Park of Dream for the Abanse Negrense 1st Gov. Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson Men’s Softball Championship scheduled from March 7 to April 26, 2020.
Among these teams taking the Murcia-based pitch are Silay City, Talisay City, Carlos Hilado Memorial State College - Talisay, CHMSC-Binalbagan, Team Carlo, and Brgy. Blumentritt-Murcia.
Meanwhile, a softball clinic will be conducted today by chief umpire Rodito Badian for participating coaches, team captains and trainers of this tournament. The clinic will be held at the Murcia ABC Hall at 1:30 p.m.
On the other hand, Murcia town will also host the Abanse Negros 15 Under Basketball tournament.
This will be participated by teams from the 3rd Congressional District of Negros Occidental, namely: Victorias City, Silay City, Talisay City, EB Magalona, and the host-town.
Expected to grace the event are Gov. Lacson, Murcia Mayor Gerardo Rojas, and Provincial Sports Coordinator Anthony Carlo Agustin.
