P20,500 ‘shabu’ seized in drug bust

AN ESTIMATED P20,500 worth of suspected “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in separate drug busts of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) in Bacolod City Wednesday evening, March 4.

The operation led to the arrest of Ricardo Oscianas, 52, of Purok Angela Gonzaga Site, Barangay Vista Alegre; and Noel Jundos, 40, of Purok. 3, Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of BCPO, said Oscianas was arrested by operatives of Police Station 7 after he sold a sachet of shabu to a police undercover at Purok Angela Gonzaga Site, Barangay Vista Alegre at about 10 p.m.

Police recovered from Oscianas’ possession four sachets of shabu with estimated market value P18,000, and the P300 marked money.

Jundos was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 8 at Purok 3, Barangay Singcang-Airport at 9:45 p.m.

Police recovered from Jundos’ possession three sachets of shabu with estimated market value P2,500, and the P200 marked money.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facilities of Police Stations 7 and 8 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9166 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
