I WAS glad to have witnessed the Search for the University of the Cordilleras Mister and Miss College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) 2020 with the theme of “Breaking Boundaries” March 4 at the University of the Cordilleras Auditorium. The competing departments included the UC College of Arts and Sciences CSC - Kalipunan (Academic Orgs - Political Science Society, CommSoc, LLS, Psych-Bes).

The event’s purpose is to discover the hidden talents of the CAS students in pageantry, moreover, the winners will also be representing the Department in the upcoming Mister and Miss UC.

The winners are Mr. CAS 2020 Chester Binbinon (BA in English Language Studies) also Best in Talent, Best in Sports Wear, and Best in Formal Attire; 1st RU Emmanuel Nigel Dacasin (AB Political Science) and also Mr. CAS Choice; 2nd RU Alvero Adam Ducusin (BA Behavioral Sciences); 3rd RU Christian Joseph Ramos (BS Psychology) also Mr. Photogenic; and 4th RU Ian Mark Lopez (BA Communication) and also for Social Media Award.

Ms. CAS 2020 Naoimi Leaño (AB Political Science); 1st RU Gemy Robles (BS Psychology); 2nd RU Rowelyn Jardinez (BA Communication) also for Social Media Award and Best in Sports Wear; 3rd RU Jo Apostol (BA in English Language Studies) also Ms. CAS Choice and Best in Talent; and 4th RU Gaveen Kathe Beray (Behavioral Sciences) also Ms. Photogenic and Best in Evening Gown.

The esteemed Board of Judges were Paul Brian Baldoza, Destiny Bantilan, Dexter Cawaing, Anlene Olagan, and Granville Raymundo. Sprucing up the evening were hosts Nicole Ann Carmen and Ric Charles Cayat. The event was organized by the UC College of Arts and Sciences CSC Kalipunan and spearheaded by Spencer Guzman (BA Comm, CAS CSC Kalipunan Ombudsman).
