25 Negrenses complete DigitalJobs training

ONLINE jobs await the twenty-five graduates of the DigitalJobs Training conducted in Victorias City through the efforts of Third District Representative Francisco Benitez, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Victorias City Government.

The six-week technical training is the second tri-partite program piloted in the Third District of Negros Occidental. The first was conducted in Talisay City in December 2019.

Congressman Benitez during the graduation ceremony congratulated the graduates as he reiterated that he is working closely with DICT and the local government units of the Third District so that Silay City and the municipalities of Murcia and EB Magalona will also implement the program.

Underscoring the need to cope with the rapid trends in the industrial revolution and the growing demand for technical skills, Congressman Benitez cited the role of DICT in providing greater access to information and connectivity.

Present during the graduation program are DICT Regional Director Mario Cuñado, DICT Provincial Officer Engr. Romeo Tome, Victorias City Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca and Councilor Derek Palanca.

Seven of the completers were cited as outstanding and have already online clients. All trainees come from the various barangays of Victorias. (PR)
