AN ALLEGED MEMBER of Rondoy robbery group was arrested by operatives of Police Station 7 after he ransacked a Grace Pharmacy store in Murcia Road, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City Saturday morning, March 7, 2020.

Police identified the suspect as John John Ino, 29, of Purok Jalandaon, Barangay Banago, Bacolod.

Police Lieutenant Florentino Abalayan, chief of Police Station 7, said that Ino was arrested after he was trapped inside the drug store at about 1:10 a.m.

Investigation showed suspect detached the roof and destroyed the ceiling of the drug store and took P4, 755 cash.

Abalayan said suspect was detected through the alarm system of the drug store.

Upon hearing the alarm system, he said they immediately checked the area and one of his personnel went to the overpass where he saw a detached roof of the building.

The police contacted the owner of the drug store and when they opened the drug store, the suspect was caught in the act stealing the money.

Police recovered from Ino's possession a backpack containing a homemade firearm loaded with live ammunition of 12-gauge shotgun, two scissors, a cutter, and P 4, 755 cash.

Abalayan said Ino has pending arrest warrant in their station for robbery and he was also involved in carnapping incident in the area of Police Station 2.

He said Ino admitted that he carnapped a motorcycle in the area of the police station and sold it.

He added that the leader of Rondoy robbery group was already arrested and detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and Ino was operating alone and he's not involved in the recent robbery incidents where the suspects were using white van as gateway vehicle.

Abalayan said they will file the robbery charges today and Police Station 2 will also file a separate carnapping complaint against Ino, who is detained at said station.
