Disney’s ice skating performers to hold workshop in SM Seaside

SM SEASIDE City Cebu is inviting intermediate and beginner ice skaters to enroll in “Master Class: Choreography and Artistry” and be trained by foreign professional trainers Dikki Martinez and Clarisse Roman.

Martinez is a Disney Ice performer since 2013 and has won several awards as 2009 Senior National Champion and 2006 to 2008 Junior National Champion. Meanwhile, Roman, a co-Disney Ice performer since 2016 , also garnered prestigious awards in ice skating as 2008 Junior Grand Prix Champion and 2008 Asian Juniors Champion. Both also reached a name as Certified Gold Judge for International Figure Ice Skating.

SM Seaside Ice Skating Rink in SM Seaside City offers this opportunity for learners and enthusiasts of this sport.

The classes start March 16 to 21 where one can avail of a one on one lesson for four sessions while the master classes are open for beginners and intermediate enrollment: March 18 to 19 at 7 to 8 p.m. and 8:10 to 9:10 p.m. for the evening session. Meanwhile, the morning session starts at 9 to 10 a.m. and 9:10 to 10:10 p.m.

The SM Skating Rink possesses the only Olympic sized ice skating rinks in the entire country. Aside from being a venue for events and leisurely skating, the SM Skating Rink also provides lessons for Figure Skating, Ice Hockey, and other sports on ice. Proving right of the late Henry Sy Sr.’s vision of a tropical country excelling in a winter-based sport, the SM Skating Rink has been home to world class figure skaters, such as Michael Martinez, who internationally compete in prestigious championships such as the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
