3 fall in anti-drug operations

THREE people, including a high-value target personality, were arrested in separate drug busts in nearby Zamboanga Sibugay and Zamboanga City, the police said Friday, March 13.

Maj. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office (PRO)-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Michael Satur, 26; Munhar Abdurakman, 33; and, Abdulrauf Imao, 38.

Galvez said Satur, high-value target, was arrested after a warrant of arrest was served against him at 1:15 p.m. Thursday in Pajo Village, Meycauayan City, Bulacan.

Galvez said Satur was arrested by joint police operatives of Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

She said Satur, a resident of Poblacion village, Midsalip, is listed as the Top 4 priority target in as far as the anti-drug campaign is concern.

She said the suspect has standing warrant of arrest issued by the court of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, for violation of Section 12 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 with P40,000 recommended bail and violation of Section 11 with P200,000 recommended bail as well as Section 5 of the same law with no bail recommended.

Galvez said Abdurakman and Imao were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 3:55 p.m. Thursday at Sitio Buggok in Kasanyangan Village, Zamboanga City.

Galvez said seized from them were some P5,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money.

She said the two were detained while charges are set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
