2 killed in separate ‘drug-related’ incidents

TWO persons were killed in separate drug-related incidents in the province.

Nole Mercado, 48 years old of Barangay Rizal, San Carlos City died in a shooting incident on March 12 at Petron Gasoline Station, Corner FC Ledesma and DC Ledesma National Highway, Barangay 2, San Carlos City.

Police investigation showed that while the victim was buying some fruits beside Petron Gas Station, he was shot by the unidentified motor riding suspects in the different parts of his body using caliber.45.

Two other victims identified as Rowena Dollentes and Danilo Dollentes were also accidentally hit by bullets at different parts of their body. They were eating inside the restaurant near the crime scene.

All victims were immediately brought to San Carlos City Hospital by CDDRMO rescue team but Mercado was pronounced dead on arrival while two other victims are still confined at the hospital for medical treatment.

The unidentified motor riding suspects fled to unknown direction after the incident.

Initial police investigation further revealed that the incident is drug-related and that further investigation is being conducted.

Meanwhile a dead body of a male person was found on March 12, 2020 along access road, Pait, Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City.

Concerned citizens said they heard at least six gunshots at the place and one vehicle was seen fleeing from the area going to south direction.

The said vehicle was not identified because the area was dark.

The body was found lying on a grass with gunshots on his face and placards placed on his feet stating, “Sorry indi na ko kapangawat kag kapang hold-up kag baligya shabu. Goodbye earth”. (Sorry, I would not steal and commit hold-up and sell shabu again. Goodbye earth.)
