AN ESTIMATED P58,500 worth of shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust by operatives of Police Station 4 at Purok Mainawaon, Barangay 19, Bacolod City yesterday morning.
The operation, led by Major Reynante Jomocan, led to the arrest of Roldan Villanueva, 43, of Barangay 19; and Reynaldo Adorna, 30, of Barangay 17, both in Bacolod City.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said the suspects were arrested after they sold sachet of shabu to a police undercover at about 4:30 a.m.
Police recovered from the suspects’ possession eight sachets of shabu weighing 6.5 grams, the P500 marked money, and P450 cash.
Pico said the suspects were under surveillance for almost a month before their arrest.
The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 4 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
