THE Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB)-Central Visayas has implemented the social distancing in all public utility vehicles in the entire region effective Monday, March 16, 2020.
LTFRB-Central Visayas director Eduardo Montealto said the number of passengers will be reduced by 50 percent. Public utility jeepneys and buses should impose a one-seat apart policy.
Taxis should have four passengers including the driver.
Violators will be fined P5,000 for the first offense, P10,000 for the second offense, P15,000 for the third offense and suspension of the franchise. (JCT)
