Guv gives P1M aid, vehicle for NMMC health workers

THE Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental has turned over P1 million in cash to help doctors and nurses of the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) who are in the frontline in fighting the spread of Covid-19.

Governor Yevgeny Emano turned over the cash to NMMC chief Dr. Jose Chan shortly after the flag raising ceremony Monday, March 16.

The Capitol also offered two coasters of the Provincial Government to carry nurses and medical staff of NMMC to their respective homes.

"I am giving them P1 million to help our doctors and nurses at the NMMC and we offer two coasters as service vehicles of the nurses and doctors at NMMC," Emano said.

The governor also turned over protective kits to the Misamis Oriental Provincial Police Office who might be tapped to help fight Covid-19.

On the other hand, Emano ordered all department heads to practice disinfection activities in their offices at 3 p.m.

He said the Capitol building will be closed at 5 p.m. and no employees shall be allowed to have over time for the meantime.

Emano said another round of disinfection procedure will be conducted at 5 p.m. in the whole Capitol building.

The Capitol's top official also ordered the release of clothing allowance to all capitol employees as he urged them to let their family members stay at home.

"With this you can buy vitamins, buy a little food for your house so that your family will stay at home mao ni atong matabang sa CDO nga dili maglakaw-lakaw ang inyong mga membro sa pamilya," Emano said.
