ACTOR Christopher de Leon tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-19), he announced Tuesday, March 17.

The actor, in his Instagram account, said his doctor confirmed that he is infected with coronavirus.

De Leon added that he had no recent travel history outside the Philippines and had no known contact with any person positive for Covid-19. His wife, actress Sandy Andolong-de Leon, daughter Mica and house helpers are also in self quarantine.

The actor said he may have been infected when he interacted with a lot of people due to the nature of his work in the entertainment business.

He asked everyone who have been in contact with him in the last two weeks to observe stringent self-quarantine and follow the triage procedures released by the Department of Health and cooperate in contact tracing process.

De Leon is one of the main lead stars of the ongoing ABS-CBN drama, "Love Thy Woman". (SunStar Philippines)
