In times of uncertainty, appreciate the beauty of nature

PRIOR to the declaration of the community quarantine in Bacolod City due to Covid-19 spread, I was able to visit some places in Don Salvador Benedicto that indeed brought out my appreciation towards the beauty of nature.

The scenery can certainly calm down an eager spirit as everyone is anxious and cannot avoid worrying and be concerned as to what lies ahead of this pandemic.

But now, it’s quite hard to get out of the city because of the general community quarantine due to Covid-19 threat, yet still I cannot hold my appreciation to what nature can offer to relax one’s psyche.

Local artists showed their ingenuity as they simply used bamboo and other indigenous paraphernalia to form artistic shapes that can perfectly harmonize with the beauty of the mountains and the lush greenery that encloses it.

With the simple use of a camera phone combined with a little photographic style and artistry, one can capture moments that can be cherished even in a simple tone.

Let us try to deviate thoughts that can cause our negative energy and align it to something that will enable us to uplift our lowly spirit. If we can’t physically be at the places we wish to unwind, perhaps remembering how we felt when we were there would at least distress us somehow from the anxieties that envelop us in these trying times.
