ANTICIPATING a spectacular, significant and traditionally timeless Centenary is the Spanish Club, Casino Español de Cebu—a non-stock, non-profit corporation domiciled in the City of Cebu, Philippines.
The club was organized to provide its members—spouses and minor children—social, recreational, sports and cultural facilities and activities formenting unity, promoting the Spanish language and culture etc.
The Centenary mood (2020) was formally launched during the club’s 2019 New Year’s Eve bash, which was distinctively super colorful and entertaining. Guys and dolls were garbed in black and white dripping with feathers and pearls! Was this a Gatsby gig? See our photos today!
The Centenario calendar is nothing short of fabulous with events monthly ranging from facets from Spanish “fiestas.” Last January, featured was the “Tamborrada (San Sebastian) Buffet drum parade show; February had Flamenco dance classes part of the San Cecilio festival celebrating the Patron of Granada.
