Mayor asks constituents to stay home, prevent Covid-19

ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin, Jr. has reiterated his appeal to his constituents to stay home in order to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus disease or Covid-19.

Lazatin at the same time asked business establishments to close down if not necessary.

The city government has procured food supplies and other relief goods for the people especially those affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine the national government implemented in the entire Luzon Island, Lazatin said.

Lazatin said he urged barangay officials in the city to follow suit and prepare relief goods for their respective barriomates.

The food supplies will be distributed to the people in the eventuality of a total lockdown and a food shortage, according to the mayor.

Lazatin also called on employers and business owners to provide assistance to their workers.

He urged the people to follow the regulations of the city in order to maintain Angeles as Covid-free city.

He also thanked the city government’s offices for supporting the quarantine effort.

He also lauded the city’s police force for ensuring the safety of the Angelenos.

“Sa ating barangay officials, sa kanilang suporta. Patuloy po sana tayong magtulungan. Maraming maraming salamat po,” Lazatin said.

The mayor has placed the city under a state of calamity.
