GOVERNOR Dennis Pineda lauded the generosity of Senator Manny Pacquiao and Third District Representative Aurelio Gonzales, Jr. for the 10,000 face mask donation intended for the people of Pampanga.

According to Governor Pineda, the said donation is essential to assure that medical workers and police personnel who serve as front liners are well-equipped with face masks in their daily quest of combatting the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the province.

“Our front line personnel are put in a perilous situation just to serve us. They deserve to be aided with every bit of help or assistance from the provincial government to reciprocate the sacrifice they do for our people,” he shared.

During the ceremonial turn over held at the Capitol Building here on Wednesday, Gonzales said this is his way of helping the Cabalens in the midst of continuous spread of Covid-19, now a pandemic.

“This is just a small thing compared to the efforts exerted by our medical workers and police force,” Gonzales said.

Governor Pineda recognized Gonzales for his efforts in providing much-needed help to the frontliners.

The governor assured that the provincial government will utilize the said donation in assisting medical workers in the 11 public hospitals and police force deployed across the 21 checkpoints in the province.

Gonzales said the said donation was made possible through the help of Senator Pacquiao and President Rodrigo Duterte. (PR)
