Cops appeal to public: ‘Please stay at home’

POLICEWOMEN of the Municipality of Masantol issued an appeal to the public to stay at home as authorities work hard to contain the highly-contagious coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

The police took to social media in their plea to the public as they posted a photo of themselves holding placards saying “stay at home and help us please.”

According to them, they stay outside to protect the public from Covid-19 with the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine despite the risk it also poses on them and their families’ health.

The Facebook post garnered massive support from the public based from the over 300 likes and heart reactions, and 226 shares it got as of Friday.

In Central Luzon, over 10,000 policemen are deployed to man the checkpoint installed on the borders of each municipality and the province.

For several days now, policemen along with other frontliners have been receiving support and concern through messages, donation of food and personal protective equipment from the public.
