Another 3 nabbed in anti-drug operations

THREE people were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in the Zamboanga Peninsula, the police said Friday, March 20.

Police Major Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Jamil Pangandag, 20; Masil Tee, 52; and, Michael Philip Odang, 32.

Galvez said Pangandag was arrested in possession of some P5,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) packed in nine heat-sealed plastic sachets when arrested in a drug bust at 2:40 p.m. Thursday in Balangasan Village, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

She said also seized from Pangandag, a newly-reloaded drug personality, were a cellular phone, P500 marked money, and a sling bag.

Galvez said that Tee, a newly identified drug dealer, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Thursday in San Jose-Cawa-Cawa Village, Zamboanga City.

Seized from Tee were some P700 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money, she added.

Odang, a street level individual, was arrested at 8:06 p.m. Thursday in Guiwan Village, Zamboanga city, according to Galvez.

Galvez said confiscated from Odang were some P1,000 worth of suspected shabu and P200 marked money.

She added that appropriate charges are set to be filed against the suspects, who were detained. (SunStar Zamboanga)
