ASEAN Para Games nauswag na sab

NAUSWAG na sab ang pag-host sa Pilipinas sa 10th Asean Para Games gumikan sa pagkuyanap sa conornavirus disease (Covid-19).

Kini maoy ikaduhang higayon nga nauswag ang kompetisyon nga kombatihan sa para-athletes gikan sa Southeast Asian region.

Gipahibawo ni Philippine Paralympic Committee president Michael Barredo nga ang Asean Para Sports Federation (APSF) Board of Governors miuswag sa kompetisyon karong Oktubre 3-9, 2020 apan nagdepende pa kini sa sitwasyon sa Covid-19.

Kadaghanan sa mga APSF Board mipili ning maong petsa human walo sa 10 ka member-countries sa APSF board nagpahigayon og emergency meeting pinaagi sa video conference.

Ang mga representante lang sa Myanmar ug Brunei ang wala nakaapil sa emergency meeting gumikan sa kakulian nga dili kapugngan.

“Each came up with their respective opinions, most of them are affirmative. However, there were uncertainties. There were questions about Covid-19 and what are we going to do,’’ matod ni Barredo.

Nagkauyon ang board nga maghugpong og balik karong katapusan sa Hulyo aron susihon ang sitwasyon sa Covid-19 una pa nila ipa-finalize ang pagpahigayon sa kompetisyon.

Ang kompetisyon, nga langkuban og 17 ka sporting events, ipahigayon sa New Clark City, Subic ug Metro Manila.

Ang bantugang para-athlete sa Sugbo nga si Arnold Balais nanghinaot nga madayon na ang kompetisyon sa Oktubre.

Orihinal nga gikatakda ang kompetisyon niadtong Enero 18-24 unya nauswag kini sa premirong higayon sa Marso 20-28.
