THE City Government of Mabalacat has started distributing food packs to families identified as priority.

Mabalacat City administrator Lawyer Emmanuel Ignacio said city workers initiated a simultaneous distribution of relief goods Saturday morning, March 21, 2020.

Each food pack contains six kilos of rice, canned goods, and others, according to Ignacio.

Beneficiaries of food packs include persons under monitoring, patients under investigation and their family members, indigenous people, and indigent families.

Only the food pack distribution team, together with barangay officials and personnel of the City Health Office, shall conduct the house to house visit which is undertaken through “knock-leave-acknowledge process.” Upon response of any member of the household, the team will leave the food packs in front of the door or house.

Mayor Crisostomo Garbo urged his constituents to stay home while the enhanced community quarantine is in effect to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.

The mayor directed the local police to check individuals coming in and out of the city.
