ANGELES CITY -- A 50-year-old woman was recently apprehended by elements of the city police on alleged charges of estafa after she was involved in a P2 million swindling case.

The city police identified the suspect as Editha Cortez Medina, 50, married and a resident of Samsonville Subdivision, Barangay Dau in nearby Mabalacat town.

Senior Superintendent Danilo Bautista, city police director, said Medina was arrested by elements of Police Station 6 led by SPO3 Rolly Reyes by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC).

RTC Branch 58 Judge Ofelia Tuazon issued the warrant of arrest against Medina in connection with criminal case Number 10-5572 for Estafa.

Medina was allegedly involved in a P2 million swindling case last year where a certain Fernando Capati was victimized.

The suspect is now detained at the Police Station 6 near the Angeles University Foundation. (RGN)
