New condo in the works

A NEW player in Cebu’s real estate industry said it is cooking up a new development inside its 2.5-hectare township in Lapu-Lapu City.

Heritage Supreme Land Developer chief executive officer Charles Lim, in an interview last Friday, said the company is processing permits for the development of a nine-storey condominium.

The condominium is part of a P300-million township where Sto. Nino Mactan Montessori School and Goldmine Residences are located.

Lim said construction of houses in Goldmine Residences will start within the month. Phase 1 will have 61 house and lot units, and around 50 percent of these have already been sold to overseas Filipino workers and local businessmen. While most of the units are for end-users, there are also some bought by investors.

Asked if the company has plans to expand developments in other areas, Lim said they will focus on the township first, but stressed the company is on the lookout for other properties in Cebu.

Goldmine Residences will have 162 house and lots units in total, while Sto. Nino Mactan Montessori School has a pool of 500 students now.

There are also plans to build retail spaces inside the development.

Property development is Lim’s second line of business, after two-decades-old furniture business, Heritage Muebles Mirabile Export.

Being in the furniture industry, Lim said his company can offer fully-furnished units upon the request of the buyer.
