CEBU Governor Gwendolyn Garcia has reminded the public that all beach outings, excursions and activities of similiar nature are strictly prohibited amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Garcia on Monday, March 23, 2020, warned resort operators that their business permits will be revoked by the local government unit concerned if they continue to violate.

"Which part of my previous executive order did you not understand? Diba niingon ko (didn't I say) strict social distancing shall be observed at all times? I will publicly shame you. On so doing, you're endagering the Cebuanos," Garcia said.

The public is also urged to send photos of persons violating the social distancing measures enforced in the province.

Earlier, Garcia imposed a 24-hour curfew for elementary, high school, college and unemployed post-graduate students and persons aged 65 years old and above, effective at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2020.

The governor’s order exempts those who need medical attention as long as they can present a certification from their respective local government units.
