DTI assures continuous delivery of goods amid quarantine

CONSUMERS and business owners are assured of the unhampered delivery of goods in the market amid the strict implementation of enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.

Department of Trade and Industry Memorandum 2020-6 ensures the fast and efficient operations of business establishments providing needed goods and services.

The department, however, advised retailers, logistics providers and manufacturers to secure an Inter-agency Task Force ID (IATF) for the fast and efficient delivery of their products.

For the convenience of business owner or their management and to comply with the recommended social distancing, DTI said application forms for IATF IDs may be downloaded via their website.

DTI, under its Memorandum 2020-08, also released the list of businesses that are allowed to continue their operation amid the Luzon lockdown.

The exempted categories of business establishments include public market, grocery stores, pharmacies and other establishments that sell medical supplies and devices and personal protective equipment, personal hygiene, public utility providers, gasoline stations, medical clinics, waste disposal services, water refilling stations, bank and financial institutions, and restaurants but only for take-out, drive-thru and delivery services.
