2 positive for Covid-19 in Iloilo City, Capiz

A 61-YEAR-OLD female patient from Iloilo City and a 45-year-old male from Capiz are the third and fourth confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, respectively, in Western Visayas, the Department of Health (DOH)-Western Visayas said Tuesday, March 24.

Dr. Marlyn Convocar, DOH-Western Visayas Center for Health Development director, reported two more positive cases of coronavirus disease in Western Visayas.

This brings the total to four positive cases of coronavirus in Western Visayas.

Convocar said the patient from Iloilo City has history and exposure travel from Manila. She showed signs and symptoms of fever, cough and diarrhea. The patient is currently admitted in a hospital and in a stable condition.

While the patient from Capiz, a known diabetic, is on some maintenance medication. He was presented with fever and cough and admitted in a health facility and reported to be in a stable condition.

DOH-Western Visayas has already informed the concerned local government units and health facility.

Contact tracing has already been initiated for the two patients according to the DOH.

Convocar said those who have been close contact with the patients to cooperate. (SunStar Philipines)
