Rolling store project on

BAGUIO City Mayor Benjamin Magalong announced the pilot run of the Baguio City Rolling Market Caravan set on April 3, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Magalong said venues of the inaugural run will be at the covered courts in Irisan, Bayan Park Aurora Hill, Loakan, and Pacdal.

The City Government has coordinated these rolling markets to later serve all 20 districts plus an additional allotted for Irisan.

The project is coordinated by the Baguio City Government through the Liga ng mga Barangay and the Special Services Division of the City Mayor's Office in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agriculture and the Baguio - Benguet retailers and farmers group.

Association of Barangay Council president and councilor Michael Lawana said the stores will be a combination of grocery items as well as fresh produce to be deployed to districts and sell products to residents in a bid to keep crowds at the city market at a minimum.

Lawana said schedules will be announced for each district as the system for rolling stores are finalized.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2020 the city has implemented a strict schedule in the procurement of basic necessities. The following schedule shall be followed with barangays belonging to the following districts shall be allowed to go out on the specified Days and Time

M-W-F

District 1 and 2 - 7AM - 11AM

DIstrict 3, 4 and 5- 9AM - 1PM

District 6 and 7- 11AM - 3PM

District 8, 9 and 10- 1PM to 5PM

T-Th-S

District 11, 12 and 13- 7AM - 11AM

District 14 and 15- 9AM- 1PM

District 16, 17 and 18- 11 AM - 3PM

District 19 and 20- 1PM - 5PM

Related to this, respective barangays will issue a uniform home quarantine pass (HQP) to each household. Only one person per household will be allowed to go out.

Anybody caught violating this schedule shall be apprehended.
