THE chief of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) said that there was a need to cordon the Talamban Leisure Center (TLC) on March 25, 2020 after samples taken from its owners were subjected to confirmation for the Covid-19.

CCPO Director Police Colonel Hector Grijaldo received an order from the Department of Health (DOH) Central Visayas on March 24, asking his personnel to secure and quarantine individuals staying inside the center.

He said around 25 individuals are inside TLC.

Grijaldo added that the CCPO will provide food and basic needs of those who are in the center.

CCPO personnel deployed in the area are only awaiting the DOH to decontaminate the center.

Cebu City Health Officer Daisy Villa said the owners are currently admitted at a hospital.

“If the result would be negative, it’s good. If it tested positive, at least we did something to contain it,” said Villa. (JJL)
