IN LESS than three days, the entire Cebu will be under an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

Some Cebuanos shared to SunStar Cebu that they will try to keep themselves busy through physical and mental activities while in the comfort of their homes.

Kent Anthony Jimenez, 20, Civil Engineering graduate, said he would make use of the ECQ by improving and cleaning his room. He also plans to stay fit through exercise and eating right.

"(I also plan to) read more books and watch more movies, and keep myself updated on news about Covid-19," Jimenez said.

Via Marie Lumandas, 21, Intenational Studies graduate, said she would make use of the time to help her parents with household chores.

She also plans to spend her remaining time learning to play the ukulele and to watch Korean dramas.

"The goal is to keep myself busy and entertained (kay magkabangs jud kog kalit). Make the most of my time and keep myself healthy and safe in these trying times," she said.

Likewise, Trina Louise Rivera, first year law student, said this would be a perfect time to recover from her reading backlogs for school and to promote health literacy online.

Abby Mabunga, a mechanical engineer, said Youtube Zumba sessions might help help ease her boredom at home.

"(I also want to) read again the two Percy Jackson series of Rick Riordan, play mobile games, sleep on midday, cook one good meal a day. This is the best time to learn how to cook adobo, humba, etc. If walang much meat at home, substitute lang with creative de lata dishes like carbonara ala century tuna," he added. (WBS)
