ARE you a business owner whose goods need to be delivered immediately?

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) 7 and the Department of Agriculture (DA) 7 will issue a certificate of exemption or a food lane pass to help business operators transport their goods “seamlessly across borders” while under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

The DTI has launched an online registration scheme to ensure unhampered movement of cargo for cities and provinces in Central Visayas that have been placed under ECQ.

Enterprises covered by the DTI certificate are manufacturing and processing plants of basic food products, essential products, medicine and medical supplies.

This also includes retail establishments such as groceries, supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores, public markets, pharmacies and drug stores.

Other businesses covered are:

Logistics service providers (e.g. cargo handling, warehousing, trucking, freight forwarding, and shipping line);

Hospitals and medical clinics;

Food preparations and water refilling stations, delivery services (whether in-house or outsourced) transporting only food, water, medicine and other basic necessities;

Banks and capital markets (as per Section 5 of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolution No. 13 dated March 17, 2020);

And power, energy, water, Information Technology and telecommunications supplies and facilities, waste disposal services, export and business process outsourcing companies;

Applicants must have registered accounts at www.gmail.com to be able to access the online registration form.

The registration shall be pertinent to the province covered. For enterprises in Cebu, business operators must register at tinyurl.com/dticargocebu.

They must submit clear copies of their business permit, official receipt (OR) and certificate of registration (CR) per delivery truck or van, and company IDs of the driver and the two assistants per vehicle.

These documents must be submitted via email to the following:

For Manufacturing: MarivicAguilar@dti.gov.ph

carbon copy (Cc:) to MarilynTancinco@dti.gov.ph

For Retailers: MaReginaVerame@dti.gov.ph

Cc: KarenAnnSayson@dti.gov.ph

For Logistics Services: MelvinBernales@dti.gov.ph

Cc: InesCajegas@dti.gov.ph

Business owners may also call the DTI-Cebu Provincial Office hotline at 09178188419 for inquiries and validation of submitted files.

Meanwhile, the DA 7 continues to issue food lane passes to suppliers of agri-fishery food and products.

The issuance of the food lane pass allows for easy access of trucks, vans and other modes of transport loaded with agri-fishery products at the quarantine checkpoints.

The Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) has issued 97 food lane passes and accreditation to include suppliers of eggs, meat, chicken/poultry, feeds, sugar, rice and corn, among others, within Central Visayas.

Applicants for accreditation pass will have to bring a valid company ID, delivery truck’s OR and CR, and other relevant information for prompt issuance of the food lane pass.

Those who wish to apply online can download the form through http://agribusiness.da.gov.ph or you may call the AMAD at (032) 268-2313. (JOB)
