SEC-Bacolod urges online transactions amid quarantine

IN RESPONSE to the declaration of placing the province of Negros Occidental under enhanced community quarantine, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Bacolod City has appealed to the public to transact online.

Though operational, SEC-Bacolod urged clients to conduct their queries and submission of reports online or through mailing to minimize person-to-person contact.

The office said clients need not worry about the deadline as submission is extended until June 30 or until further notice.

“In these crucial times of minimizing the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19), clients and the public are advised to make use of alternative means of submitting their reports,” it added.

These reports include Audited Financial Reports, General Information Sheet or Mandatory Disclosure Forms by mailing the same through a private courier, ordinary mail, or registered mail.

SEC-Bacolod has its office address at Units 10 and 11 Redkey Building, Corner Hernaez-Jocson Sts., Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.

“For clients’ inquiries and requests for certified copies of their articles of incorporation, by-laws, and reports, they may do so by email or call at 09988412004 so we can schedule the release,” it said.

As regards requests for SEC-related documents, clients are advised to wait as this is not a normal time for the office for its daily operation is done online and work from home scheme.
