2 Covid-19 patients at TMC Clark in stable condition

CLARK FREEPORT -- Two patients of The Medical City Clark (TMC Clark), who tested positive of Covid-19, are now in stable condition, the medical center announced Thursday, March 26.

As of Thursday, The Medical City Clark stated that it has two positive cases of Covid-19 under its care, and both are stable.

“Identified as person under investigation (PUI) upon initial evaluation in our Quick Assessment Lane, their contact to other persons and facilities within the hospital were controlled and minimized,” the TMC Clark said in its press release.

Hospital staff who had close contact with the patients have been accounted for, provided full health care support, and wore the appropriate standard PPEs while attending to the patients from the start, the hospital management added.

The patients, after initial evaluation, were placed in negative pressure isolation rooms, from the ER to their respective rooms, and were managed accordingly as assumed Covid-19 positive, the TMC Clark said.

All protocols were followed to prevent the spread of infection, the medical facility added.

Since February this year, the hospital also mobilized robust response plan including intensified infection control and decontamination measures and hospital safety protocols -- an Epidemiology Response Team (ERT) for this scenario as well as adapting to the interim guidelines of the Department of Health (DOH) and World Health Organization (WHO).

“We assure our patients and hospital staff that safeguards are enforced to prevent the spread of the virus,” the TMC Clark said.

“The Medical City continues to open its doors for our patient partners. Within this hospital are the bravest and kindest people what works everyday to care for you amidst the crisis,” it added.
