BAYANIHAN Cebu, an organization created to support communication initiatives and operations of the SHS Center and IEC Center infirmary sites, launches two initiatives to aid the Cebuano community amidst the Covid-19 health crisis.

In partnership with Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu and the Cebu Archdiocese, Bayanihan Cebu (spearheaded by Anne Liu), mobilizes operations support in the two new expanded health centers through Bayanihan Meals and Bayanihan Volunteers.

Bayanihan Meals

Led by 10 Dove Street, the Bayanihan Meals team prepares and delivers the meals needed for the patients and health workers in the two infirmary centers. The Bayanihan Meals team welcomes private and corporate sponsorships and donations for meals through G-Cash, where proper receipts will be issued.

Bayanihan Voluteers

The Bayanihan Volunteers team assists in the efforts to scout for medical volunteers (such as caregivers, midwives, etc.) who are not currently employed in hospitals but may be interested to volunteer and assist in the fight against the health crisis. All volunteers will be properly screened and trained by the Department of Health and other accredited institutions as required.

In addition to both initiatives mentioned above, the Bayanihan Cebu organization will also be accepting donations-in-kind (such as medical supplies and equipment) at both infirmary centers and a drop-off center located in San Carlos Seminary. For seminary drop-offs, please look for Msgr. Joseph Tan.

For more information, contact details and an email address will be posted on the BAYANIHAN CEBU Facebook page. (TLN)
