Businesswoman yields P1-M illegal drugs in Bukidnon

ANTI-ILLEGAL drug operatives arrested a businesswoman and her companion and seized more than P1 million worth of suspected “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride in a police operation in Kalilangan, Bukidnon Thursday, March 26.

Arrested were Ana Ampatua, 47, businesswoman and Banyamin Mandoc, 32, a motorcab driver, both residents of Poblacion, Kalilangan town.

Seized from their possession were sachets of suspected shabu in different pack sizes weighing around 150 grams which worth about P1,020,000.

The two were detained and will face charges for alleged possession of illegal drugs.

Meanwhile, another three drug suspects were arrested in a drug bust in Zayas, Carmen, Bukidnon on Friday, March 27.

Arrested were Santiago Pagtalunan, 55, Wilfred Mabilin, 29, and Emily Ceresa, 42.

Police said the suspects were figured in the police’s Directorate for Intelligence.

Confiscated from their suspects are sachets of suspected shabu worth around P10,200.

“We will continue in our anti-illegal drug operation amid the unseen enemy (Covid-19) we are facing today,” Cocpo chief Colonel Henry Dampal said.
