BALANGA City Administrator Rudy de Mesa died in a hospital in Pampanga after reportedly experiencing chest pains and difficulty in breathing.
De Mesa died Friday afternoon, March 27.
De Mesa was reportedly listed as a person under investigation (PUI) for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) according to Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton who relayed the news to reporters in Bataan.
It has not yet been confirmed, as of Saturday, if De Mesa is positive for Covid-19.
Before serving as city administrator of Balanga City, he previously served as Provincial Administrator during the time of Governor Enrique Garcia.
