Cadiz doctor under probe for possible Covid-19 infection

A PHYSICIAN assigned at the Cadiz City District Hospital went on quarantine for being suspected as a patient under investigation (PUI) for coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

"We are gathering facts and we may reveal it today," Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, Provincial Health Office Head, said Sunday, March 29.

The female doctor has reportedly went on leave and has not been reporting at the hospital.

The doctor's husband is reported to be from Saudi Arabia.

Tumimbang assured that the doctor was not allowed to report to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Binalbagan Mayor Alejandro Mirasol said Sunday that a PUI who recently died in the town was tested negative of Covid-19 based on the result of the swab test.

The female victim died in a hospital in Kabankalan City.

She was in her 50s and she died of pneumonia. She was also suffering from liver cirrhosis.
