4 arrested in Bacolod for selling overpriced alcohol

FOUR people were arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) for allegedly selling overpriced alcohol on B.S. Aquino Drive, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City.

Police identified the arrested as Mary Grace Alojipan, Janice Fernandez, George Chua, and Ricardo Uy.

Based on a report released by the CIDG-Bacolod, the suspects sold a container of ethyl alcohol at P3,900 when it was supposed to be sold at P2,973.

In all, CIDG operatives seized 25 containers of 400 liter ethyl alcohol.

The four suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 7581, otherwise known as the Price Act.
