MAYOR Evelio Leonardia recently inspected the ongoing construction of the Bacolod Respiratory Out-Patient Center at the Bays Center of the city.

City Engineer's Office personnel are working 24/7 to finish the facility as quickly as possible.

City Administrator Em Ang, who also inspected the site earlier, said the center will allow patients with respiratory conditions such as cough, nasal congestion, asthma or flu, to consult with volunteer doctors, nurses and other health care professionals at scheduled hours.

This will help ease the congestion at the emergency rooms and outpatient departments of hospitals for these kinds of complaints.

The facility is not a quarantine center for persons under monitoring and patients under investigation but is merely a consulting center for mild respiratory cases during this Covid-19 pandemic. (PR)
