THE quest for a doctorate takes maximum time and initiative. The choice of a topic or the problem of the study is vital to discover new insights. It may take two years or more in completing the subjects of a course and another two or more years from the doctoral proposal to the dissertation defense. There are extraordinary instances when a full-time student may finish his course earlier.
