Army acquires PPEs for its frontliners

DONA REMEDIOS TRINIDAD, Bulacan -- The Army 48th Infantry Battalion (48IB) acquired personal protective equipment (PPE) for its troops assigned at quarantine checkpoints within its area of operation.

48IB Commanding Officer Felix Emeterio Valdez said the need to protect their personnel is a must to be able to continue their mandated tasks effectively as the number of coronavirus disease cases continue to rise.

“We should follow first necessary measures to protect ourselves for us to protect others,” Lieutenant Colonel Valdez said.

He added that alcohol and disinfectants were also provided to his units as additional protection.

PPEs given to 48IB includes 100 pieces of modified face shields, 120 washable masks, 150 N95 masks, 1,000 pieces’ disposable mask and plastic gloves. (PIA-Central Luzon)
