Angeles City to launch ‘Mobile Pampang Market’

ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin, Jr. ordered the creation and launching of the Mobile Pampang Market that will roam around the 33 villages in the city to sell food supplies to Angeleños.

The Mobile Pampang Market will roll on Thursday, April 2, in villages Sapangbato, Margot, Anunas, Amsic, Malabanias, Cutcut, and Sto. Rosario.

The Mobile Pampang Market will sell rice, meat, frozen foods, eggs, condiments, and other basic food supplies.

According to Lazatin, the Mobile Pampang Market will provide an alternative avenue for the purchase of basic needs, and will decongest overcrowding at public markets in the city.

Initially, only two Mobile Pampang Market will roll but by April 4, 2020, four mobile markets will be operational city-wide. The schedule of the mobile markets in every barangay will be posted on the Angeles City Information Office Facebook page.

Lazatin also said the mobile market aims to bring necessities closer and more accessible to the public.

“Because we are experiencing overcrowding at our public markets, we need alternative ways to provide the needs of the public while following social distancing and safety protocols amid the coronavirus disease,” he said. (PR)
