5 more PUIs admitted at Northern Mindanao Medical Center

FIVE more patients under investigation (PUIs) were admitted at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) on Monday, March 30, chief of hospital Dr. Jose Chan said.

Among the five PUIs are a 65-year-old female from Calaanan, Cagayan de Oro who is experiencing fever, shortness of breath and cough for two weeks; 77-year-old female from Barangay Bugo who’s experiencing fever, shortness of breath, and cough for two days; 69-year-old female from Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental who’s experiencing cough and shortness of breath; 72-year-old male from Damulog, Bukidnon who has a fever, shortness of breath and cough; and 78-year-old female from Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

According to Chan, the 69-year-old female was exposed to her son who has a history of travel to Singapore.

The 72-year-old male and 78-year-old female from Bukidnon, meanwhile, were both referred to the NMMC from Kibawe and Manolo Fortich hospital, respectively.

As of Tuesday, March 31, Chan said there are a total of 14 patients admitted at the NMMC, four of which are the patients who have been tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), and ten are the PUIs.

For the past two months, the NMMC has recorded a total of 59 patients admitted at the hospital, 32 were confirmed negative for the Covid-19.
